BlackBerry Storm Themes Are Coming!

by Robb Dunewood on February 11, 2009 · 5 comments

We just heard word that Plazmic 4.7 CDK beta is floating around on the web.  What this means for BlackBerry Storm users who have been wanting to change their theme since the device came out is that the toolset necessary for BlackBerry theme developers to create BlackBerry Storm Themes is now available.

In addition to the BlackBerry Storm Themes, Plazmic 4.7  can also allows theme developers to create themes for the BlackBerry Curve 8900 and the BlackBerry 8350i.  It looks new BlackBerry users soon will will be able to get their BlackBerry theme fix on.

We’ve found Plazmic 4.7 CDK in several spots on the web.  I downloaded it from here

I fully expect to see new BlackBerry Storm themes by the end of the week.

Almost 4 months and they “are coming”? RIM would be rewarded for being a touch more open on some things like UI.

You would think that the Storm would have at least 2 themes to begin with. Its trying to aim towards consumer and business? Well its not doing a good job there is only so much I can take starring at bulky big squares boxes in black. Boring. Yes a ‘Today’ Theme would have gone down very well…..so where is it? Thanks for reading
