After tons of rumors and speculation, Research in Motion has officially announced a new social music sharing and discovery service that they’ve dubbed BBM Music. For $5 per month you can store up to 50 songs in your personal music profile and you can swap out up to 25 songs from your profile each month. That’s not a lot of music for 5 bucks, but, one of the features in BBM Music that is kind of cool is the ability for you to access up to 50 songs from each of your friends profiles who also use BBM Music. The more friends you have, the more music you can potentially access so long as everyone doesn’t have the exact same songs in their personal music profile.
