Wikitude for BlackBerry, the BBM integrated augmented reality browser, has been updated to v6.0.11. Along with support for the new BlackBerry 9790 and 9380, Wikitude for BlackBerry includes the following features:
- Landscape mode support in cam view for Torch 9810, 9850, 9860.
- Routing to POI when clicking on address in POI detail screen
- Location update more accurate in cam view while moving
- Bug fix for privacy setting ‘Contacts’ for BBM chat
Wikitude for BlackBerry is a free BlackBerry download and you can pick it up in BlackBerry App World.

It looks like BlackBerry Bridge, the application that allows you to Bluetooth tether your BlackBerry smartphone to your BlackBerry PlayBook, has been updated to v1.0.6.5. If past history is at all indicative of what is going to happen next, an update to BlackBerry Tablet OS, the software that runs on the BlackBerry PlayBook, is imminent.

We just received notification this morning that eBuddy XMS, an extremely popular cross platform instant messaging app on the iPhone and Android, is now available for the BlackBerry. One of the cool features of eBuddy XMS is that, like BlackBerry Messenger, it supports sending, sent & read notifications.
eBuddy XMS isn’t yet available in BlackBerry App World, but you can download it OTA to your device by visiting www.ebuddyxms.com. We are downloading eBuddy XMS for BlackBerry as we type this post, so, we aren’t ready to put a review up just yet. Foursquare for BlackBerry has just been updated to version 3.2.1. Here is what is new…
- Improved handling and performance with connections to all terminals BBM
- Changed the appearance of screens and reports
- Amendments on the acquisition of our location

The folks at #TeamBlackBerry, via the Inside BlackBerry blog, have released their top 5 BlackBerry apps list, however, it is unclear if this list is of top 5 BlackBerry apps available from RIM, or, just top 5 apps in general. All the apps listed: BBM, Email, Twitter, BlackBerry Camera, and Facebook are all apps developed by RIM, but, I don’t want to make any assumptions.

BlackBerry Desktop Software 7.0 Beta has been in Beta Zone for a little while now, but, it requires a key code in order to be activated. This prompted members of OpenSourceBB to see if the could strip out the key code activation bits, which, they have done successfully and have posted online for all to try out. This version of BlackBerry Desktop Software 7.0 Beta is, of course, unsupported, so proceed with caution if you decided to give it a try…
