Besides Email, What Is The Killer App On Your BlackBerry?

by Robb Dunewood on August 6, 2007 · 18 comments

“Oh my gosh! I didn’t know my BlackBerry could do that…”

I am going to go out on a limb and assume that the majority of BlackBerry users would consider email to be the BlackBerry’s killer feature. Besides email, however, what excites you about your BlackBerry like whatever American Idol contestant, Katherine McPhee, has discovered about her 8700 that has her busting at the seams with excitement.

Agree upon Google Maps and GTalk, but I’m not fond of the current offering of Google Mail service on the BB. Unless you’re referring to the POP access within the actual BB Email app, then that is pretty cool.

I would have to say the Viigo RSS reader and Gtalk are my most used applications.

GoogleMaps and the link for MLB.com are the most used on my BB. Runner up is the new IM+ Skype.

Interesting to see the many references to Google. Perhaps Google will do very well in the mobile ambitions of its own.

My killer apps in order:
- GTalk
- GMail
- GMaps …

Hmmm …

Everytime I use the following app I think “What did I do before this?”:
Google Maps

Any my other killer app is just the slickest IM app I’ve used:
JiveTalk
