Marriott is offering a free BlackBerry 7290 when you book a room on the Marriott hotel site.  You pay $150 bucks up front, commit to a 2 year data and voice plan from Cingular that will run you around $75 a month, and pay a $36 activation fee.

A report in Canada’s National Post says that BlackBerry maker, Research in Motion, is in talks with Intel, the worlds largest chip maker to offer the Centrino chip in future versions of BlackBerry devices.
