RIM Working On BlackBerry Devices With External Antennas?

BlackBerry With External Antenna

Word on the street is that Research in Motion is working on new BlackBerry devices that will sport external antennas, you know, like the one that they iPhone 4 has, except, they will actually work.  You see, contrary to the the popular belief of those born after Regan left office, mobile phones with external antennas was not a new idea created by Apple.  Apple just did a piss poor job at implementing it.

In the picture above you see a BlackBerry 9100 with an external antenna, and, rumor has it that there are a bunch of new model designs sporting this design.  RIM, for years, has been known for superior antenna design, however, even if they weren’t you could bet your last dollar that any device with even a hint of the antenna issues that the iPhone 4 has would never see the light of day.

Yeah, because RIM never puts out substandard hardware. Guess you forgot about the Storm 1 and its POS click screen gimmick that worked like crap.
