BlackBerry Question Of The Day

by Robb Dunewood on August 15, 2007 · 5 comments

It seems lately like we have been getting more and more BlackBerry questions in the ole RIMarkable inbox so we thought that we would start posting some of them to the front page to let the BlackBerry faithful have a stab at them.

Today’s question: Is there any way to set Opera Mini as your default browser on your BlackBerry?

If you have an idea please post it in the comments.

You can change the default browser at Options > Advanced Options > Browser > Default browser configuration. Unfortunately this field only displays the standard RIM/carrier/BES provided browsers. It’s not possible for an end-user to change the default browser to Opera on any currently available BlackBerry. I wonder if a developer can leverage the Default browser configuration field to add third-party browsers into the list???

Unfortunately that’s not possible.

Is there a website that blackberry owners can share their downloaded music and files at no cost? I am a new BB owner and I want music and videos but can’t seem to download them on my own.
