Skype Officially Supports BlackBerry 6 On Verizon Devices Before Verizon Officially Releases BlackBerry 6

December 26, 2010 by Robb Dunewood Leave a Comment

Skype and Verizon have had an exclusive relationship since the end of March 2010 so makes sense that Skype has announced official support for Verizon BlackBerry devices running BlackBerry 6.  If only, however, Verizon officially sold devices that run BlackBerry 6…  We know that RIM’s latest and and greatest BlackBerry operating system is coming to both the BlackBerry Bold 9650 and BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330, but, Verizon is sure taking their time when it comes to officially releasing it.

BlackBerry 6 Soon To Be Released For Bold 9650 and Curve 9330: Simulators Now Available

December 6, 2010 by Robb Dunewood 1 Comment

BlackBerry 6 Simulators for the BlackBerry Bold 9650 and the BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330 are now available which probably means that the official release of BlackBerry 6 on each of these devices isn’t too far behind.

The OS build for both simulators is 6.0.0.317, however, it is not confirmed if this will be the version of BlackBerry 6 released for these devices, nor, do we have a definitive date of when BlackBerry 6 will actually come out.

You can download BlackBerry OS Simulators for all BlackBerry devices here…

October 13, 2010 by Robb Dunewood Leave a Comment

The Verizon BlackBerry Curve 9330, a.k.a, the BlackBerry Curve 3G, is now available online in Fuchsia.  The device only costs $29.99 on a 2-year contract after a $100 online discount.  That’s not a bad deal for a brand new BlackBerry…  Not a bad deal at all…

Verizon BlackBerry Storm2 9550 And Curve 8530 Get End Of Life Dates

August 27, 2010 by Robb Dunewood 2 Comments

An internal document detailing upcoming end of life dates for various Verizon mobile devices has leaked its way onto the web.  Of particular interest to RIMarkable readers might be the EOL of the BlackBerry Curve 9530 on September 16th, followed by the EOL of the BlackBerry Storm2 9550 on October 10th.  This gives Verizon subscribers looking to upgrade their current BlackBerry device a good indication of when the BlackBerry Curve 9330 and the rumored BlackBerry Storm3 might become available…

Sprint BlackBerry Curve 9330 Mentioned In BlackBerry Knowledge Base Article

August 26, 2010 by Robb Dunewood Leave a Comment

Even though the BlackBerry Curve 9330, RIM’s CDMA variant of the BlackBerry Curve 3G, has yet to be officially announced, I don’t think it comes as any surprise that Research in Motion is working the device. It looks like a BlackBerry KB article (which has since been pulled) mentioned the Sprint BlackBerry Curve 9330, particularly a problem with the device.  We are guessing that RIM pulled the KB article because the would like to officially announce the BlackBerry Curve 9330 before they start detailing issues with it publicly.
