Will The T-Mobile Wing Give The BlackBerry Any Comp?

May 22, 2007 by Robb Dunewood 8 Comments

T-Mobile today launched the T-Mobile Wing, the first smartphone in the U.S. to come with Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 6. The latest BlackBerry to be released on T-Mobile was the BlackBerry 8800 and although it was named the 5th best product of the year, just isn’t as sexy from a consumer standpoint as the Wing.

My question to you is can the T-Mobile Wing give the BlackBerry any real competition?

My guess is not any more than the MDA or the T-Mobile Dash are right now. A better question may be will it give the Sidekick any comp because that is what it kind of looks like.

I don”t see any real competition between them! Especially if the Curve hits TMO shelves anytime soon. Windows is just to glitchy, with all the freezing and restarting of the device’s that run it. I think Blackberry is going to have it’s biggest push to date with sales in 2007-2008. The Berry platform is just way to stable, and people are catching on more then ever!

    I dont think so either
people who think its cool to use windows mobile and try out BB usually dont ever go back

I was dealing with a MDA for a year, with slowness, crashes, missed phone calls.
Pretty much now i am addicted to my BB.
    waiting for th 8300

Looks like an mda with a skin. Windows mobile is garbage. Mainly Microsoft I guess. The pearl is all I need. Besides I don’t want to start on the horror stories I had with the mda.
