Pidgin is written in C. BB uses Java so its hard to port it on BB. But you can use Pidgin + Forward2Mobile (http://code.google.com/p/forward2mobile/) Plugin on your PC and you can have all advantages including mutiple network support using your favorite IM client on BB.

Get Palringo. Its absolutely free and u can add all your services ti it. (Gtalk, aim, yahoo messenger, windows live, etc)

ill strongly reccomend mundu if u hvnt bought one yet.
its awsome. i tried im+, beejive, palringo, intango, ebuddy n another one ( i forgot the name)
i think mundu is really a good one. usually its $11 but now they hv offer for $3 till jan 5th. go get urself one i think u wont regret.

I agree with those who use IM+. I find it very stable and useful for integrating various IM providers. I have 4 integrated and they all work well. I also has an off-line mode for pushing text over to SMS when not in active mode (as an option). It’s not free, but my experience has been that free is not always the best nor is it an incentive for developers. If I pay for an app, then I have a reason to complain.

I havent found a single app yet that actually works on my BB, I have a BB Curve that is modified to work on Boost Mobile IDEN converted from Nextel. I tried Yak-On but alas it does work, just wont show ANYONE as actually being Available everyone shows as Offline.

Where is pidgin for blackberry? It’s opensource & free for PC, Linux, etc, so why not BB?

ive tried IM+ and beejive. i like beejive but i wouldnt want to pay. IM+ kinda sucked and only let you go on one.. not all 3 (aim, yahoo, msn). i also tried ebuddy but its kinda laggy and has some bugs. im really hoping rim makes aim available, or a multi messenger app. thats really all i need.
