Visual Voicemail Coming To The Verizon BlackBerry Thunder

by Robb Dunewood on June 18, 2008 · 5 comments

Verizon Wireless is going to be offering Visual Voicemail on select Verizon handhelds in the coming months and it looks like the Verizon BlackBerry Thunder will be one of the devices to take advantage of it.

We aren’t sure exactly where this list came from but it does indicate that Verizon Visual Voicemail will be available on a “New RIM device (touchscreen)”. I think it is say to assume that said device is the BlackBerry Thunder, or, whatever RIM decides to name it.

It’s about time. One example of where the Apple iPhone is forcing improvement across the board.

Realistically, this is a feature that carriers could have had out years ago. The technology does not seem that difficult. The carriers just wanted their customers to burn more airtime listening to their voice mail messages.

…it’d be nice if they rolled it out to all vzw mobile phones. i absolutely hate having to replay a vm 2-3 times to get all the info needed.
