I have had a BB since 1999. There is no replacement for a BB. Everything coming and going to BB is encrypted and that includes your IM and the phone calls. No other manufacturers do that. You wanna toy go buy an iPhone, you wanna phone to do business then BB is the only solution out there.

The blackberry is better, simple and robust than a iPhone or Android phone. The push is natural. All the applications runs at the same time without complications. The only thing that the bb get behind the new smartphones was the browser. If Bb webkit is in par with the iPhone safari this device (9800) will be a hit.

I dun know, looks kind of stiff when he tried to open and close the slider. Still thin and light it seems, so my argument about bulk with sliders is cast aside. But, still don' t know how I feel about the effort it took to open and close slide. It's good that it won't open unless you want it to, but not very good for one handed use if you ask me. Looks like the UI got a little slap of newness, but still very distinctly blackberry. Would really love for them to turn that UI on its head and do something different, but guess thats a bit much to ask for. Will have to see after an in person session with it.

I disagree, when it comes to the basics for business applications, I still haven't found any decent replacement for my bb (and I'm not actually a big fan). I might still switch to the iphone just because you can use all of the memory to store files, applications and emails (a limiting factor on the bb that must be addressed) but I love my bb keyboard and typing on a touch screen is a half-measure for me.

I'm still wondering if this os6 is enough to make ppl think that bb doesnt suck. As of now, when I'm around android/iphone user and I pull out my 9700 bold....the usual comment i get is "why are you still on blackberry, it suck."
