I just picked up a storm 1 and I have to say that I am very disappointed with it. I find that it bogs down way too often. A friend of mine suggested that I upgrade the OS. I did that an I still find that it is doing the same thing. Should I go get a storm 2 or just move on to an uphone? Any help will be appreciated thanks.

Why is that weird? What do you think they are suppose to do with all the old inventory? When its sold, then that's it, nothing weird about it.

I don't agree with Robb and agree with the other poster. The rumors (maybe not Rimarkable) made the public think the Storm line was dieing. That's how "The Street" and other non-techy web sites reported it.

Actually, yes, the rumors are true. The BlackBerry Storm is being discontinued. I agree the speculation that stemmed from the initial rumor was all over the map, but I for one said that the rumor only applied to the Storm, not the Storm2, and that it really wasn't that big of a deal. It's only natural that older model devices be end of lifed once replaced by newer devices.

Yeah except that's not what the headlines were reading. They made it sound like the touch screen BlackBerry was being killed from Verizon. I had no idea they were still selling the Storm 1. I thought it was canceled when the Storm2 came out. All Verizon is doing is what we should expect. New iteration of a device is out why would you want to buy the old one?

The Flip is the only real story as right now they won't have a replacement.

So no the Storm rumors are not true. Because the rumors were making it sound like the Storm was being killed. Storm2 is still very much active and alive!
