I just got the pearl today and I love it. I have been waiting and waiting for VZW to come out with it, even having dreams at night about it, and here it is. However... The site where I got my ringtones for my old 7130 (www.tuneusin.com) refuses to come up on the 8130! Any hints, fellow blackberry addicts? I've tried messing with the browser settings and such, but it still gives me a "rendering the object" error. Thanks for any help you can offer. :-)

I have been waiting so long that it is finally available to VZW! I currently have the Palm Treo and I can't wait to get rid of this phone. I have only heard good things about the Blackberry! I'm so excited & I'll be one of crazy customers standing in line to get it!

I’m pretty ignorant with this stuff, but when everyone bitches about how Verizon “locks” features, what features exactly are being locked? In other words, what features does the T-Mobile and/or AT&T Pearl have that the Verizon doesn’t? I was actually going to switch carriers since I wanted this, but if it is really coming for Verizon in November I can wait, since almost everyone I know has Verizon. Also, does anyone know if the voice plan / data they offer for $79.99/mo. (450 minutes) involves internet and all that jazz? Thanks.

I have heard several comments that the Pearl is not a real business phone or that it is "Prosumer". Not sure what all that means. I need a phone with a good calendar that will synch with outlook express --same for address/contacts--and will synch wirelessly. I need it to provide task lists and to send and receive emails fast and efficiently. I do not need a full qwerty key board. Will the Pearl meet my needs?

The Pearl seems to be a great "Prosumer" phone that many people may need. Pseudo-business types with pseudo-business needs. I need a good organizer/calender and decent texting capabilities.

The only issue I have is that data is required. If this phone is to truly be marketed to the mass prosumer audience, data should be an option. I rarely need to check e-mail. Just random thoughts.
