I agree. Honestly, the blackberry storm is a rather decent phone. However it has major glitches and bugs and what not. Such as when using apps. It constantly freezes the screen when i open UberTwitter or some sort. And the Camera. – It takes great photo’s but has about a 5~10 second delay when taking the photo. – The calls. Simply put. They drop. A LOT. What i don’t understand is if Verizon claims to be the 100% area coverage , so no dead zones. Why is it that i can hardly get any, “Bar’s”? Another thing is that, The phone was expected to be able to watch Youtube. and let me tell you, it is horrible quality. Other than that it’s “Okay” to use. I really hope that Verizon allow Storm user’s to “Upgrade to the storm 2.”

It’s kind of funny. BlackBerry users want touchscreens, iPhone users want keyboards, Pre users want refunds, and nobody wants Windows.

Yeah, even in landscape mode. I constantly hit the wrong key when I don’t mean to cause it is hard to tell what letter you are actually touching.

This is just my personal opinion but I think that physical keyboards are better especially for people who text a lot or have big hands. If Apple ever comes out with an iPhone with a keyboard I might switch back.

I have big hands and typing on the iPhone sucks. I have to type with just my index finger and my speed and accuracy have gone way down compared to my old BlackBerry

My company set up our Exchange mail so that we could use iPhones in addition to BlackBerry devices at the beginning August so I switched from using a BlackBerry Curve to the iPhone 3G S about a month ago when my contract on Sprint was up. At first I loved the iPhone because of all the applications and general coolness but that love has turned to fustration over the passed couple of weeks. I have big hands and typing on the iPhone sucks. I have to type with just my index finger and my speed and accuracy have gone way down compared to my old BlackBerry. All those applications take their toll on your battery too.

I am going to sell my iPhone to one of my coworkers who’s Sprint contract is about to come up and buy a BlackBerry 8900 or a Bold. I will probably get an iPod Touch as well because playing games on the iPhone is way better than on the BlackBerry and I won’t have to worry about running down the battery on my phone….

Those with iPhones (with it’s virtual keyboard) find it can provide the speed a physical keyboard can and them some, just like the learning curve of SureType, once you learn the method there is no drawbacks of the iPhone’s virtual keyboard.

I definitely agree the iphone has a lot up on the blackberry as far as software goes, its apple and they have some amazing developers on board, but there are definitely features the blackberry has that outdoes the iphone. Of coure steve jobs was selling the virtual keyboard, and may points were valid, except that, no virtual keyboard yet, can provide the speed a physical keyboard can.

When I-phones are available from Verizon, there will be a lot of switching, especially by Mac folks as the old-fashioned Blackberry interface does not speak Mac.

My gosh Rock. Must you compare the BlackBerry to the iPhone in every one of your comments? Does the iPhone being second to the BlackBerry bother you so much that you feel that you need to come to a BlackBerry blog and talk it up even when the post doesn’t mention or even reference the iPhone?

It’s a free country and you can say what you want, but, seriously… you need some new content.
