Thomson Inc., the leading provider of technology and services to the media and entertainment industry, has decided to move more than 2000 of its mobile workforce off of the BlackBerry and onto mobile devices powered by Good Technologies’ GoodLink software over the next 18 months.

According to Claude Fossati, worldwide voice telecom manager for Thomson, the move away from BlackBerry towards Good was not as much about Research in Motion’s legal woes as because of the wider range of features offered by GoodLink.

The security features that Good offers, especially the ability to remotely ‘wipe’ data from any lost or stolen device, gives me real peace of mind and ensures that sensitive information does not fall into the wrong hands.
