Location based social network Loopt has recently updated their BlackBerry client to include LooptPulse which brings Foursquare like check-in capability that allows you to leave tips and share information with others. LooptPulse also generates recommendations on locations using data from its partners like Zagat, CitySearch, Bing, and Tastingtable (recently added partners include SonicLiving, Zvents, and Metromix).
Other Loopt features include:
- Listen to music clips from concert Events and RSVP to see who else is going on Facebook!
- Search for Events and Places by date and distance around you, your friends, or specific places
- Share button on Events and Places to share them with friends
- Ping your friends directly from the Friends list to quickly find out where everyone is!
