Being Irish I have always been lucky in the technology that we get. The iPhone was probably the first phone that we had to really wait for followed by the Android which is non existent here. I’ve used an iPod touch since 1st Gen and the touch screen technology from that is infinitely better than that of BB.

I just don’t get RIM. They have so many different models and so many different varients of the OS etc! Why not concentrate on say 4 models and making the OS as stable as possible! They’re trying to outdo Apple by having more options but it just ain’t working.

Plus the fact that I’m getting screwed by my provider. I pay €89 ($132 approx) per month and for that I get 1g of data. 1g of BBmail, 400 minutes and 400 texts. I also get free calls and texts to same network thankfully! For that kind of money in the US I could basically get unlimited calls and unlimited data!

“I don’t think I’ll ever get BB again!” – same here, pal. I got a Bold from Rogers, and I’m so disappointed with this phone. I regret I didn’t get an iPhone. No doubt it’s the best smartphone out there.

Unfortunately for RIM Hugh, I think that a lot of people feel the way that you do. The BlackBerry OS is long overdue for a major overhaul.

I’m not bothered to be honest! The Storm was such a major disappointment that I don’t think I’ll ever get BB again! I mean in this day and age to have a so called smart phone that has not WiFi support and an accelerometer that is so slow I could fry and egg in the time it takes to flip the screen just shows they launched it about 18 months before they were ready! Vodafone IRL are launching the iPhone in Feb or March so I think I’ll just hold out and get one of those instead!

Is there any word on memory? I cant stand the limitation of application memory available and not being able to use the mem card for application install. I hope they figured this one out.

Well now that we have an official press release for the Blackberry Storm 2 I will look forward to possibly seeing the final new operating system being leaked or pushed by Verizon.
