It Looks Like RIM Has Upgraded To BIS 3.1… Yahoo Contact Sync Now Available

We’ve got some great news for BlackBerry users with Yahoo! email accounts.  It appears that BIS 3.1 has been rolled out (here in the States).  2-Way Contact Synchronization  is now available.

To enable Yahoo! Mail Contact Sync go to Setup… Email Settings…  Click on your Yahoo! Mail account and select Synchronization Options…  Check the box for Contacts and click Save.

BIS 3.1 syncs contacts every four hours and also works with Alt-N MDaemon v11 over SyncML.  If you test it out, let us know what you think via the comments…

Yahoo! Launches Mobile Site For 2010 Winter Olympics

Yahoo! has launched a mobile site for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games and it looks pretty good on the BlackBerry.

It’s the place to go when you’re out and about and want up-to-the-minute coverage on this year’s Games. You’ll get access to everything from live results, upcoming events, medal counts, and photos to news, expert commentary, and more—all from your phone. We’ve also integrated Olympics into our mobile search results, so you can easily find what you need fast.
