Vonage

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Vonage Holdings Corp plans to offer discounted international phone calls to iPhone and BlackBerry users, as the Internet telephony company aims to expand beyond the residential market.

Vonage for BlackBerry

In response to a question asked by Twitter user @thatchman1 to Vonage’s official Twitter account,

“@Vonage_Voice I would LOVE to have a Vonage SIP client for my iPhone”,

@Vonage_Voice had this to say,

Hey @thatchman1. We plan to offer mobile applications that will allow customers to use Vonage on their mobile smartphones. Stay tuned

There are two things to note about this conversation. 1.  Vonage has an official Twitter account.  2.  Vonage’s reply said “mobile applications“  and “mobile smartphones” in the plural sense with an s, possibly meaning that more than just one mobile application is coming out on more devices than just the iPhone.

It’s amazing what you can find out on Twitter…
