T-Mobile BlackBerry Bold 9700

The T-Mobile BlackBerry Bold 9700 is now available.  It costs $199.99 after an instant $250 rebate with a 2-year activation of $50 or more per month.

Somehow, T-Mobile has managed to put up a picture of the BlackBerry Curve 8900 on the product information page for the Bold 9700.

BlackBerry Bold 9700

Four of the big North American GSM carriers wasted little time making their official announcements of the BlackBerry Bold 9700 coming right off the hills of the official announcement from Research in Motion.  No official official release dates have been announced, however, all four carriers say that their branded version of the BlackBerry Bold 9700 will be available within weeks.

We don’t expect that it will be too long before Telus announces the BlackBerry Bold 9700, unless, of course, they are going the route that Verizon is going with not officially announcing the BlackBerry Storm2 9550.  We will leave the Verizon Storm2 debacle for another post…

BlackBerry MVS

BlackBerry Mobile Voice System is not a new offering for Research in Motion.  In fact, BlackBerry MVS, which integrates BlackBerry Enterprise Server with corporate PBX systems allowing you to make and receive calls via your BlackBerry utilizing your office number over Wi-Fi, has been around for over two years.

What is new is the new partnership between T-Mobile and RIM where T-Mobile will utilize BlackBerry MVS to offer a new service, “Wi-Fi Calling with Mobile Office“, to Enterprise customers.  Wi-Fi Calling with Mobile Office will be similar to T-Mobile@Home, but, for businesses.

Al Sacco from CIO.com sums it all up here
