BerryBuzz 2.0 extends the native BlackBerry alert system allowing you create repeating audible reminders for all alert types as well as customize the color of the flashing LED when alerts are triggered. If you use a BlackBerry long enough, there will come a time when you really need to make a call, but, because you forgot to put your device on the charger the night before, you are presented with the infamous “Battery too low for radio use” warning.
What really stinks is that you charger is right there, your BlackBerry is on and charging, but, you still can’t make any calls until you juice your battery up for 10 minutes or so. All you can do is just sit there wishing that there was some way that you could force your radio on so that you could make one all important call.
Well, this one scenario must have happened to BlackBerry developer @FabianMH one too many times because he solved the problem with a really cool free BlackBerry application called ForeceRadioOn, that, exactly as its name implies, forces the radio on your BlackBerry on even when it believes that your battery is too low.
Now, it should be noted that there is probably a really good reason why your BlackBerry shuts the radio off when the battery gets to low, however, ForceRadioOn, which you can get for free through the RIMarkable Store, definitely comes in handy in those rare emergency situations.
IM+ All-In-One Messenger from Shape Services, the awesome BlackBerry chat client that allows you to chat in AIM/iChat, MSN/Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo!, ICQ, Jabber, Google Talk, MySpaceIM, Facebook and even Skype with no cost per message, is 50% off, today only!
IM+ would normally cost $39.95, but, for today only through the RIMarkable Store, it only costs $19.97.
BlackBerry App World is o.k., however, if you want the opportunity to download from thousands of premium and free blackberry applications, you will want to check out the RIMarkable on-device BlackBerry AppStore.
Just point your BlackBerry device to http://store.rimarkable.com/appstore and you will find a huge selection of BlackBerry applications and BlackBerry themes. There are a ton free BlackBerry apps listed and premium downloads start at $0.99.
We’ve got a neat little free BlackBerry application for you in the RIMarkable BlackBerry Store for you called Start Me Up. It automatically starts applications for you after rebooting your device.
After doing a restart (battery pull or soft reset), not all applications you want running automatically start up again and have to be run manually by finding and clicking their icon. Start Me Up will let you select which applications you want to start automatically that don’t do it on their own.
Start Me Up Features Include:
Automatic start up for apps that dont include this feature
Runs applications in background while launching
Small size and does not run in background constantly
Start Me Up is a free BlackBerry download and you can pick it up in the RIMarkable BlackBerry Store at the following link.
