Last week Research in Motion suffered the biggest BlackBerry outage in company history which affected most of Earth for the better part of 3 days. To show it’s appreciation for their patience, RIM is offering over $100 in premium BlackBerry software to BlackBerry users for free. Starting Wednesday, users will be able to download the following list of BlackBerry app from BlackBerry App World, which, will become available for download over the next 4 weeks.
Smarter Apps, makers of the popular Angry Birds clone for BlackBerry, Angry Farm, let us know over the weekend about their new BlackBerry game Zombie Attack, which is now available for free in BlackBerry App World with 100 levels of zombie blasting fun.
You were one of the few who prepared, they all said you were crazy, but you knew better! Now your day has finally come. Armed with your makeshift launcher, more ammunition in storage than is probably legal, and your faithful zombie apocalypse survival kit, you stand prepare to face off with the hordes of brain eating zombies! Bubble Birds, a really cool, premium, bubble popper style game for the BlackBerry that came out a couple of weeks ago, has been updated and now includes a free version and is available for download in BlackBerry App World. The free version does include advertising, but, they are not that intrusive.
Bubble Birds is supported on BlackBerry devices running BB OS 4.6 and higher. Pick up the free version of Bubble Birds in BlackBerry App World, or, pick up the ad-free Bubble Birds Premium in the RIMarkable Store.

It’s been a while since we’ve last talked about a BlackBerry game, but, BeZombied Free by Luna Games is a good one, and, with Halloween just around, we figured that this would be a good way to start the week. BeZombied is essentially one of those BeJeweled style puzzle games where you need to clear the screen by matching at least 3 like Zombies. This game is add supported, but, you really won’t notice them once you get into the game.
We have a little saying around here that the only thing better than a good BlackBerry game is a good FREE BlackBerry game. If you have an older model BlackBerry (not a Pearl Flip, Bold, Curve 8900, or Storm) you can download 3 free BlackBerry Games from bPlay.
The games are:
Medieval Kings Chess II
Disco Bowling
Proteus (think Asteroids)
I’ve played all three games, and, usually games of this quality come with a price tag. Trust me when I tell you that they are worth the time it takes to download them.
We just heard that there is a free BlackBerry Tetris game available for BlackBerry Bold users over on BerryReview.com. I wasn’t able to get it running on the BlackBerry Storm, however, I’d be willing to bet that keyboard bearing BlackBerry devices in addition to the BlackBerry Bold might have better luck.
You can pick up BBTetris by pointing your BlackBerry Broswer to http://papped-themes.100webspace.net/Tetris/BBTetris.jar
If you should hapen to install and get it running on a device other than the BlackBerry Bold, leave us a comment and let us know.
Stefan from AIM Productions just sent me a press release stating that AIM has just launched their first batch of BlackBerry Games including the Free BlackBerry GameBubble Popper.
The point of the game is simple: remove bubbles from the grid by double-clicking groups of two or more adjacent, like-colored bubbles. The longer your bubble chains are, the more points you score.
In addition to the free Blackberry game, Bubble Popper, AIM has released 3 other titles which, for a limited time, you can get a 30% discount on through ClickGamer.
To get the 30% discount just enter in the promotion code berry007 at checkout.
So, it would appear that the BlackBerry Mobile site has gotten a free coat of paint. The new design is a bit more graphic intensive, but, still loads pretty fast. There is also a new free BlackBerry game in the Fun and Games >> Free Games section of the site.
Typing Tutor is kind of lame but it will allow you to waste time and is free. Outbreak Control, Black Jack, and Sudoku, are still on the site and are actually quite good. They are free BlackBerry games as well so if you haven’t downloaded them you may want to check out the site.
To visit the Mobile BlackBerry site just type mobile.blackberry.com into the BlackBerry Browser on your device.
