The BBM Apps Hackathon Event takes place Aug 11-12, 2011 at the Ace Hotel in New York City, and, if you create and submit the right pitch, there is a chance for you to win a 3-day trip to attend the event.

Rogers Wireless has launched contest where they are giving away 50 BlackBerry Torch devices to customers. All you have to do to enter for a chance to win one is fill out out a brief entry from, be at least 18 years old by November 3rd, and live in Canada. All entries must be received by 11:59pm on December 5th. Winners will be randomly selected around 2:00 p.m. EST on Dec. 6th.
If you live in Canada, this is one of those contests that you should probably enter. 50 people are going to get a free BlackBerry Torch worth over $600. You may as well throw your name in the hat…
