What Apps Does BlackBerry 10 Have to Have In Order To Be a Contender?

With so much debate over the supposedly lack of apps on BlackBerry devices and the future release of BlackBerry 10, what apps does BB10 need in order to compete with the droids and iPhone’s on the market?

This has been a heated debate so I thought I’d stir the pot here at RIMarkable and see what the community thinks. Regardless of what apps are on or off BB10 at launch there is no doubt I will be one of the first ones rocking the New BB10 Super Phone.

RIM Offering $77 Worth Of Premium Applications To U.S. BlackBerry 7 Users

After the official announcement of BlackBerry 10 last week at BlackBerry World, Research in Motion, in an effort to let BlackBerry 7 users know RIM cares for them, has launched a promotion for U.S. base BlackBerry 7 years where they can get $77 worth of premium BlackBerry applications for free.

The folks at #TeamBlackBerry, via the Inside BlackBerry blog, have released their top 5 BlackBerry apps list, however, it is unclear if this list is of top 5 BlackBerry apps available from RIM, or, just top 5 apps in general. All the apps listed: BBM, Email, Twitter, BlackBerry Camera, and Facebook are all apps developed by RIM, but, I don’t want to make any assumptions.
