[...] Most users generally tend not to use that feature for the same lingering fact but all that could soon change with the advent of the Blackberry Media Sync which is available on the latest Pearl or the upcoming models from Blackberry. This feature would allow users to directly transfer the iTunes to your Blackberry thus saving them a lot of time and making the Blackberry more usable as a music gadget.
I was wondering the same thing as Metsker. I would hope that at the very least media sync would convert DRM protected media to DRM free automatically and not lose to much quality during the process. If I had to covert my downloaded iTunes songs to CD and then re-rip them to MP3 manually, I would just continue to use my iPod to avoid the hassle.

Do you know if this Media Sync tool will work on iTunes files with DRM? If not, Media Sycn will be much to do about nothing.

Pearl Tunes copies MP3s and other unprotected digital music from selected play lists on iTunes for Windows to the Micro SD memory card on the user's BlackBerry Pearl. This allows the user to copy just favorite selections to the BlackBerry Pear.

This is very encouraging IF you can transfer iTunes music and movies onto your BB as easily as you can with an iPod.

Granted, very few folks want to watch movies on their Pearl or Curve, but if the Thunder winds up being a device that I can use to watch iTunes videos, I'll be happier than a pig in mud.
