I would hope that at the very least media sync would convert DRM protected media to DRM free automatically and not lose to much quality during the process. If I had to covert my downloaded iTunes songs to CD and then re-rip them to MP3 manually, I would just continue to use my iPod to avoid the hassle. I was wondering the same thing as Metsker. Granted, very few folks want to watch movies on their Pearl or Curve, but if the Thunder winds up being a device that I can use to watch iTunes videos, I'll be happier than a pig in mud.
