SpinVox has recently announced the availability of SpinVox for BlackBerry which will convert voicemail into text on your BlackBerry.
SpinVox for BlackBerry users can now receive all their voicemail messages converted to text and delivered as an email direct to their device, allowing them to see who called and what they said, then reply with just one click. Uniquely, SpinVox converts any caller’s voicemail into text – powered by the SpinVox Voice Message Conversion System (VMCS).
SpinVox for BlackBerry is a subscription based service where you can buy packages starting at £3.00 or about $6.00 per month.
This concept, to me, is the holy grail of voicemail. Converting voicemail to text is even better than the visual voicemail feature on the iPhone, since there are so many times when it would be more convenient to read a vm rather than listen to it.
