Someone is surfing the web with a BlackBerry 8820

January 23, 2007 by Robb Dunewood Leave a Comment

Someone, we’re going to guess a RIM employee, has been browsing around internet, namely The Boy Genius Report, with a BlackBerry 8820. Never heard of the BlackBerry 8820? BG thinks that it is the cameraberry version of the BlackBerry 8800.

According to BGR server stats, not one, but two BlackBerry 8820 devices with vendor IDs of 1 (carrier non specific), have hit the site in the passed month.

I am not naive enough to believe that RIM’s marketing department didn’t make sure that someone purposefully hit BGR with the browser on the 8820 just to make sure that the world would know that the device is being tested. It almost makes me want to check my stats to see if a BlackBerry 8820 has hit RIMarkable.
