Why do you keep acting like BlackBerry 10 doesn’t exist. Granted, it’s not out yet, but RIM is building a new platform. Yes, BlackBerry OS is being sunsetted and RIM is making a transition, just like almost every other company has gone thru. This takes time. Please take the time to talk the news instead of making believe like RIM is dead just because BBOS is going away. Can’t wait for BB10 to come out and you jump back on like you’ve stuck by BlackBerry the whole time.

There is no doubt that I will get a BlackBerry 10 device if and when they ever come out. I blog and podcast about phones, thus, it only make sense for me to get new phones when they come out.

BlackBerry 10, however, isn’t released yet, and, there is legitimate debate as to whether it will ever see the light of day.

I am not betting against RIM or rooting for RIM to fail, but, the company is currently in a death spiral if, from which it can emerge and regain its former glory, will be one of the epic turnarounds in corporate history.

BlackBerry 10 will be released, at the earliest, in Q1 of 2013. That is almost 6 years after the release of iOS, 4 years after the release of Android, and two years after the release of Windows Phone.

I am not acting like BlackBerry 10 doesn’t exist… I just don’t believe it to be a magic pill that will make the missteps of the last 6 years go away.

RIM, however, until very recently, acted as though the iPhone didn’t matter and Android was just a joke.

When you ignore the competition for 6 years, turn a blind eye and deaf ear to the wants and needs of consumers, your market share drops to 8.1%, your stock price plummets to $6.86 a share, and, real questions about your viability as a company and if you will be bought before you ever release BlackBerry 10 have to be asked.

      I ask those questions…

I think RIM needs to continue to be a player in this game. There is nothing greater than diversity in this market. We need options and to think of everyone rocking undroids and iphone’s makes me sick to my stomach. I always live by the rule of “you do you and choose what works best for you and let the rest be” . BlackBerry was once what undriod and Apple are today and things change with time. RIM needs to really come strong with BB10 it need’s to be a game changer.

I am totally satisfied with my Bold9930 and Playbook combo because it works for me and plus I am a BlackBerry Boss lol. I have no issues with other phones and OS’s I just choose BlackBerry and hopefully RIM can pull themselves out of the hole that we find ourselves in.

The US market for BlackBerry is weak and the media are like sharks in a feeding frenzy. The media feeds ignorance and opinions to the masses because the majority of the people are idiots and can’t think for themselves…this has been proven. I call this the Tickle me Elmo effect. Yes Tickle Me Elmo was produced and forced to be the hottest toy that year and that was all media hyped.

Apple is like Starbucks you get it just to say you got what’s hot.
Undroid is undroid because they produced an OS that was fresh and new..no choice but to be successful there , Windows phone well is just Windows phone but I must say that if RIM happens to go down out of my pure defiance I would move to Windows phone..smh
And now to old faithful..The BlackBerry the phone that carried yall for yrs.
Yes, they missed opportunities to remain top dawg, yes ,they failed to remain innovative and yes, they are paying the price here in the US market. But there is one thing that about ole faithful she’ll be there when you call.

Like Leroy Jones said in Richard Pryor’s Which Way is up..
” I’m at the bottom of my life Mr.man with no place else to go but up. Now here are your keys to your house and your got damn car. Now if you gone shoot me better shoot me in the a#$ cause that the last part you gone see of me Mutha F*&^A… you get that down?”

Man, I REALLY want BlackBerry to win and re-tool itself as an entry-level smartphone for folks who are intimidate by smartphones…but RIM is taking WAY too long to make a move. BB10 has been pushed back to sometime in 2013? Do you really think that with a new iPhone & Amazon Phone hitting stands THIS HOLIDAY season, in addition to the millions of Galaxy SIII’s being sold as I type this, that a BlackBerry honestly has a chance?

I love RIM like the next man, was my first smartphone…but the writing’s on the wall.
