Pocket-lint is a pretty reputable site. I doubt that they would say that they’ve confirmed this if they haven’t.

I think that streaming media would be kind of choppy over EDGE.

I am not sure how the data would flow. Does anyone know if streaming media content for the Sona Mobile Player for BlackBerry is directed through RIM’s back end?

Couldn’t find anything more to support Sling for BB than the last time it came up in January as a no gonna happen any time soon.

Robb, all this data would have to be sent through the BB servers no? Wouldn’t this be alittle too much data for systems designed for email and non-html web pages? I keep reminding myself unlike other wireless devices the BB devices in our pockets is just one part of the BB system. (As we sadly are reminded of when there is a RIM server problem)

Is Edge fast enough to watch streaming video or would you only be able to use Wi-Fi for it?

My guess would be that EvD0 would be fast enough but it wouldn’t be unlike Verizon to block it.
