I use a smartphone because I want the freedom that comes from having a phone that cannot be shackled and hijacked by the carrier.  So, Verizon can certainly push yet another icon ala the VCAST icon that showed up on my device not long ago.  But as per usual, I&#039;ll just go ahead and highlight the icon and then select &quot;Hide&quot;.
