CrackBerry.com was able to get their hands on the Sprint hotsheet and, according to it, the BlackBerry Bold 9650 will be arriving on Sprint May 16th. The Bold 9650 was rumored to be coming out on Verizon May 27th. It isn’t often that Sprint releases a BlackBerry before Verizon does, however, it’s looking like this will be the case with the BlackBerry Bold 9650.

Ok. I’m confused. Is it a Tour or a Bold? What’s with the Tour 2 9650 an Bold 9650 designations? I know the devices are similar, but they are different devices. Am I missing something?

Nope. You’re not confused, it quite a silly thing to do. its not the real Bold obviously its an attempt to make verizon users feel like they are getting the real bold or new version of it.
It is a new version of the tour. it doesnt have the same processor as the Bold. The Bold 9700 is still the fastest and most power of all BlackBerry to date.

Sounds kinda tricky and underhanded to me. Makes it very confusing to keep up with the already similar models BlackBerry has. Kind of like Microsoft’s “versioning” tactics.
