Rogers BlackBerry 8800 Coming April 2nd?

Rogers Wireless BlackBerry users wanting to move to the BlackBerry 8800 have been waiting eagerly for the Canadian based mobile tel-co to release the device with several rumored dates already that have come and passed.

The latest rumored release date for the BlackBerry 8800 on Rogers is April 2nd. I stress that this is just a rumor, as I have not confirmed it, however, I have had a couple of people say it in the comments or via our Contact Us form.

Fingers-crossed. I think this is going to be somewhat like Cingular’s launch and it’ll surface without any fanfare (or barely any) - one day it’ll just show up.

Actually Steve,

I just heard another rumor that the BlackBerry 8800 might actually come out late Sunday evening, April 1st, just how the Cingular version did.

You have to take that with a grain of salt, seeing how it will be April Fools Day and all.

Sort of inconvenient that all of the launch events have already happened (those Rogers Snow Day events and whatnot).
