This thread wasn't about the iPhone either, but you managed to bring it up. Since you can't answer a simple question, we'll chalk it up to FAIL. And why are you taking a shot at the site about "flatlining?" Doesn't have anything to do with what we're talking about. If you're not a fan of the site, then stop visiting and go create your own blog. There, you can speak in third person all you want.

Happy Holidays Rock, and a Happy New Year! :)

The Rock says...What was posted was this thread is NOT about naming the many government entity’s which have upgraded from Crashberry to a state of the art iPhone solution. That would be thread crapping and Robb is not too thrilled when that happens. Though it certainly seems the only action here at RIMarkable is the cheerleading of which device is better and/or The ROCK dropping The Peoples Elbow on those who FUD and take personal shots. Speaking of that yourself as someone has been told time and time again RIMarkable is not about you or I, nor about desperately taking things to a personal level which The Rock says shows a real lack of self control and lacks class, but certainly add's web hit's to the otherwise flatlining RIMarkable, though its not RIMarkables fault that the only RIM and BB news is crash related news as the communication industry has blown past RIM and the BB and on to more state of the art technology.

Not sure what you mean by desperation...not even sure how that enters any topic of discussion since I don't own RIM. I could care less, but obviously you have a personal attachment to the topic for whatever reason.

So, what you're saying is you can't name even one government entity that has rolled it out as a solution. I didn't think you would, which proves my point.

This thread is not about naming all the government entity's which have upgraded from Crashberry to a state of the art iPhone solution. As we can all see desperation has set in for a small few as they continue to grandstand and make excuses and FUD about RIM and the BB system, but in reality they can't even get email and data on their BB's. However other smarter BB users, who have a clue, who are in the know, know there are BIG problems with RIM’s antiquated BB backend and it’s poor design relying on a single point NOC failure point is no longer a very good, nor state of the art solution for mobile devices. It’s not only is the backend software causing problems, the device software and UI is also showing it’s advanced age. The communications industry has pasted the RIM and BB solution by as Han Solo said and the Rock agree's “Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side, kid.” especially as those in the know, know that good blaster = a Apple iPhone.

Name one government entity that runs an iPhone solution? Ask someone in the "know." What does the President use? The Mafia? LOL! FUD, whatever, it's pointless to discuss if you're not on the same level.

Roll out the FUD, we'll have a barrel of FUD
Roll out the FUD, those desperate always resort to claim "security"
Zing boom tararrel, ring out a song of those really in the know.
Now's the time to roll the FUD, because anyone technical would understand that the more modern solutions to mobile data are just as secure, if not more so and certainly more reliable than RIM's antiquated BB backend. Unless in desperation someone is counting complete network outages as "security"? It doesn't get much more secure than during the multiple times a week that the RIM BB network is DOWN.

Why must we always do the FUD polka

One word..."security." Nobody matches them. Anyone technical would understand. As for testing the updates prior to release, it's hard to replicate a production environment like RIM's along with a stress test. Would be ideal, but difficult.

Sounds like just another reminder that RIM's antiquated BB backend and it's poor design relying on a single point NOC failure point is no longer a very good, nor state of the art solution for mobile devices. It's not only is the backend software causing problems, the device software and UI is also showing it's advanced age. RIM probably feels they are so far behind that they don't have time anymore to vet updates before releasing them to the public.

Maybe RIM should vet these upgrades before releasing them to the public. Instead of putting these tiny updates out, roll them together, test them, then release them.
