Like everything else, once one learn the method it can be just as, if not more intuitive, reliable, and fast. Just because something is different that what we are used to from RIM's BB doesn't mean it too isn't “pretty much trouncing the BlackBerry ” as well. Coming from years of BB use (both full qwerty and SureType) your right it's my opinion "that the iPhone is pretty much trouncing the BlackBerry in every area" including "text entry and email." Also Apple is not standing still, since January 9, 2007 Apple has been leading and innovating the entire smartphone industry.
