Research in Motion (RIMM) recently opened the official BlackBerry Accessories Store over on ShopBlackBerry.com. They currently offer goods in 5 areas:
- Battery and Battery Accessories
- Carrying Cases
- Chargers
- Desktop Cradles
- Headsets
Most of the products found on the site come OEM with BlackBerry Handheld devices, however, they do offer some accessories that don’t come in the box with their units such as leather carrying cases and high capcity batteries. We will have to keep checking back to see if their product list grows.

I just got a Blackberry, and I am desperately searching for a different type of case. Not leather vs plastic vs aluminum…. but a case that does not need to clip directly on a belt. Has anyone looked at women’s fashions lately? How many women do you see with their tops tucked in? Who wants a huge lump of Blackberry under their clothes? Doesn’t anyone make an extender that allows the unit to hang down further on the hip? I’ll be eternally grateful if someone can come up with one or point me in the direction of one!
