Research in Motion co-CEO and founder Mike Lazaridis says that RIM is ready as he believes the company has “prepared for any contingency” to keep the company pumping out BlackBerry devices and BlackBerry service in the United States despite the NTP vs. RIM patent dispute.

$612.5 to be exact
They should’ve gone all the way against those Patent Whores NTP. Oh well – time to start coming out with some cool stuff
I kind of wish that RIM would have seen this thing all the way through, however $612.5 million is a bargain for the certaintity that RIM adds back to their business.
I am sure that RIM will pass those costs on to it’s customers over time so they really got of with a slap on the wrist as far as they are concerned.
