Oracle Aims To Significantly Increase The Amount Of Time Sales People Spend On Their BlackBerry

April 13, 2007 by Robb Dunewood 3 Comments

If your loved one is a field sales person chances are that they are already addicted to their BlackBerry. Well, thanks to Oracle, the amount of time your CrackBerry addict spends on their favorite little device may increase.

Oracle recently announced Siebel Wireless support for the BlackBerry which brings the market-leading CRM application, something most BlackBerry users still had to bust open their laptop to access, to the BlackBerry, giving already addicted BlackBerry users legitimate excuse to spend even more time on the device.

On the bright side of things, however, the amount of caffeine that Siebel using BlackBerry users consume in a single day could decrease because they won’t need to spend nearly as much time in Starbucks with Wi-Fi hotspots so that they can synch up Siebel to their laptops.

I am the assistant manager of the Caribou Coffee just down the street from Oracle and we are organizing a picket sign demonstration just outside the Oracle campus against the release of any software that causes people to drink less coffee.
