I've been spoiled with the browsers from the Pre, iPhone, and my Nexus One. I adore my BB Bold2 in every way, but the browser and application use is a killer. So I carry two phones around with the hope that RIM will get it right...eventually. Opera is a nice alternative when in a crunch or bind, but I prefer the browsers mentioned above.

If RIM only purchased Palm... :)

I have been using the opera mini 5 beta 2 for some time, now (a couple of months?), and it really is 100 times better than the native browser. For me, the simple fact that it has tabs makes it a compulsory install. It has some minor quirks, but I would not consider using the native browser anymore. Haven't found any situation yet where the native browser would be preferable.

The opera mini 5 beta 2 is 1000000x better than the native browser. Not only is the 5.0 beta better, the older 4.2 is MUUUCH better as well! I suggest checking it out asap.

I see that Opera Mini has a beta out now. Has anyone actually tried the beta version? I heard a few people say that it is better than the BB browser even though it is beta.
