Anyone trade in the old Storm2 for the green labeled Strom2 replacement stock? I did, and what a nice improvement. Screen is easier to deal with, not as stressful on the fingers. Too bad I’ll be selling mine on eBay, brand new and all…

They replaced/added the silicone on each of the corners. For me personally, it’s more responsive and easier on the thumbs.

Why are you selling it then? For how much? How did you get it? Just go to verizon and ask for the newer green one?

Selling it because I have too many phones w/VZW and will use the N1 once it comes out. Got it directly from VZW. Actually upgrading the OS now as I type. As for price, whatever market is showing.

I´ve updated and everything is ok, except for the Shazam (Music Identifier) that refuses to run, in despite of uninstall and reinstall.

    Anyone have the same problem?

Stupid update screwed up my phone. I got the 507 on my screen. Was able to reload the previous version 5.0.0.320. but i lost all my apps. I should have waited couple of weeks like i always do.

The update is not as stable as the previous version. I’m getting the occasional random reboot. Ugh…RIM OS sucks.

@ sleepy321. I use a mac. when i upgraded to 5.0.0.620 i did it by wireless update. when i connected the phone to my mac pro it told me to downgrade. The weirdest thing is it wanted me to downgrade to the 5.0.0.620 that was showing up on my laptop. it labeled it as recommended os. so i thought maybe there was a newer one or RIM fixed the problem so i did it. it works fine for now. i havent tested everything yet. so far so good.

I am having the same issue with my keyboard in the BBM group chat. WTF!!! What’s crazy is that I informed Verizon of this issue and no one seems to have a solution, other than downgrading to the original OS.

Yeah, I had the same problem where the keyboard wouldn’t open. Just open your BBM chat fromt he BBM icon not from your messages/inbox. This is a bug but it will work if you open the chat the way I mentioned.

So, create a separate icon for the group on my home page?

i have the same problem, which seems to be intermittent today so maybe it’s improving. BUT the new bbm doesn’t show accurate statuses for my contacts, and my calendar doesnt sync from my mac…. i would LOVE to downgrade back to the old OS or atleast old bbm… anyone know how???

To downgrade back to the original OS for the BB storm2, you would have to go into the BlackBerry Desktop Software on your computer (with your phone plugged into the computer w/ the USB), and select Upgrade software. There you will have the option to downgrade to the original operating system. That is what I ended up doing.
