Ever since T-Mobile switched all their email account stufff and my company did at the same time I just said forget it (the business side) and figured if someone really needed to get in touch with me they could always call me instead of emailing me. As for "other" uses I definately play games, most recently poker but Brick Breaker is still a fav, while waiting to meet clients, at the airport, etc... cause its quick and easy to load them. Also, its great for finding stuff, I know other phones can do that as well, but google local, the net, and a whole slew of apps keep my blackberry in my pocket at all times and it has come in handy more times than not! Yep, I do.
