MySpace For BlackBerry Exceeds 400,000 Downloads In First Week

When MySpace for BlackBerry was launched last week, we said that World of WarCraft wasn’t the only thing being released that night.  We had no idea, however, number of downloads of MySace for BlackBerry would be analogous to the number of people buying WoW.

Since the application’s launch on November 13, 2008 there have been more than 400,000 downloads which represents an all-time high for both MySpace and RIM in terms of first week application downloads. Through the MySpace for BlackBerry® smartphones application, users collectively sent and received more than 15 million messages and updated their mood and status over two million times in the first week.

I’m not happy with it. You can’t read the blogs from the application. I ended up having to log into myspace just from the regular browser!
