Mike is absolutely correct about the camera: many enterprise users need a model without camera. The trick about disabling the camera through the BES doesn't really cut it when it comes to security...many secure facilities are not going to buy into the explanation that even though your phone has a camera lens, the BB admin has disabled it.

This model will sell extremely well, and will satisfy security minded enterprise users, and help them migrate to this new BB design.

Not all corporate users need or 'can have' for that matter a camera. Remember it's always been about function and not form with RIM in the first place. This is a work tool first, gadget second. Whatever the case, the 8800 shown in these pics (I doubt it's the 8900) is beautiful. I'll have to start hassling my boss to ditch my 8130 for this baby when it comes out. Then again, I shouldn't complain, some of my colleagues still have the 7290.

Why would they even make a model without the camera? Will it the model with the camera cost more?

The first version of the 8800 series (codename Indigo) will not have a camera. The next version of the 8800 series (codename Crimson), which will be released in April, will have a camera.
