Live BlackBerry Onyx / Driftwood Pictures Leaked Online

May 11, 2009 by Robb Dunewood 2 Comments

BlackBerry Onyx

Leaked pictures and rumors of a September launch date for the BlackBerry Onyx / Driftwood have made their way onto the web.  We believe that the Driftwood will have UMA support and launch on T-Mobile in Setptember.  The Onyx is pretty much identical to the Driftwood except that it has no UMA.

Other BlackBerry Onyx / Driftwood features include:

  • GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS device
  • GPS
  • Camera
  • Wi-Fi (no UMA support on Onyx)
  • QWERTY keyboard
  • 480×360 resolution screen

As Paris Hilton say’s… “That’s Hot” Congrat’s on including the industry standard WiFi but RIM where is the 3G? It’s now 2009 GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS without WiFi AND 3G doesn’t cut it.

As Paris Hilton say’s… “That’s Hot”

    AWS 1700MHz + 2100MHz UMTS/HSDPA
    3.2 megapixel autofocus camera
    GPS
    Wi-Fi
    QWERTY keyboard
    Optical trackpad
    480×360 screen
Carbon fiber-esque back battery cover (the whole back is a carbon fiber pattern apparently)
Much sexier than the BlackBerry 8900
