Way too expensive. It’s amazing that Google is so good at things, but is the worst retailer. They can’t design and sell anything tangible. They better stick to software and search algorithms.

Yeah, it’s not cheap, but it is right in line with other smart phones for price. Even a HTC G1 unlocked on Amazon is $500.00 (http://www.amazon.com/HTC-Unlocked-Phone-Google-White/dp/B0032YAMKO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1262789519&sr=1-1)

Way too expensive for my packet. We are talking about the “phone” which is priced at $529, what does it do that is worth that kind of money? Nah, being as cheap as I am, I will be buying this phone when no one wants it.

TMO may soon have some of the fastest network speeds… possibly faster than some G4 networks.

Problem isn’t the price, but the network you have to use it on. TMO is the worst of the big 4 in terms of coverage and speed.

Google & HTC both make enough money that 530 is not worth it to the average consumer. With the iPhone the price was justified by the cost of an iPod one of the most popular electronic gadgets of the decade. And with google making the only deal with their phone exclusive to T-Mobile (one of the worst providers in the nation) — I think that they have their head too far up their asses to see what people actually want. Think about it, get a phone or get a brand new laptop in that price range?

It’s on par. Question is, how good is it? If it’s good, the cost becomes easier to digest. TMO is a questionable way to go, but if it has UMA, I’d personally give it a whirl. UMA is key when it comes to TMO.
