you’re all stupid. the iphone is the most overrated piece of shit i’ve ever seen. you so much as sit on it and you get the white screen o’ death. i have the lg vx9800 and it’s sturdier than a brick. i dropped it off the fourth floor of a parking structure onto cement. not a thing wrong with it. try that with your precious iphone.

honestly, does anyone get a phone to be a phone anymore?

@CBlackberryNY: For the reccord, switching to GSM wouldn’t be an upgrade, rather a downgrade from pure digital to a 20+ year old standard. LTE is 3-4 years out and Apple would make a killing in CDMA sales to support its release.

@Ryan, if Verizon didn’t cripple the Blackberry, what makes you think that apple will let them cripple the iPhone? also I fail to see where having the same theme is crippling? I have yet to see any proof that supports your statement about crippled GPS and Bluetooth…

In general I can see this happening and hope it does, but until then I’m stuck with the dare.

This also throws a monkey wrench into Verizon’s love of crippling phones! (aka the SAME dumb theme on EVERY phone! (except palm and blackberrys) or crippled bluetooth, !GPS!, etc!

Verizon may yet get the iPhone. I’m not challenging that. The thing is, they will chop it up before they give it to us!

I purchased my 1st BB & really like it & verizon’s excellent coverage in my area.

I recently used a friends iPhone and I can see why Apple is selling so many of them; its almost irresistible.

For me, if the iPhone comes to verizon, its bye bye BB

I’d find it hard to believe that Apple would produce an iPhone model this late in the game for CDMA (with LTE coming around the corner for VZW). Unless Apple is really hurting for additional sales and AT&T isn’t meeting certain requirements for their exclusive deal, I don’t see this happening.

I agree. They’ll wanna be careful not to cannibalize Storm sales. So I wouldn’t be surprised to see a Verizon iPhone around summer or by the end of the year.

I don’t think so. Verizon will probably have until next summer before there is a Verizon iPhone and this gives them plenty of time to sell a lot of BlackBerry Storms.

I can honestly see it happening next year. As well as the iPhone has done, I think Apple expected a bit more churn from Verizon subscribers coming over to AT&T to get the iPhone than what they did.

They know that there is a gold mine in new sales from Verizon subscribers that won’t switch to AT&T and there really is no reason for them not to do it.

Verizon might get to honor of hosting the iPhone on thier network when they upgrade to GSM/LTE.
