Is RIM about to buy wireless MP3 maker Music Gremlin?

February 2, 2007 by Robb Dunewood Leave a Comment

The word on the street, or, at least on CrunchGear is that BlackBerry maker, Research in Motion, is about to buy MusicGremlin, maker of the wireless MP3 player with the same name that allows you to download music directly to the device over a Wi-Fi connection.

I heard from a **highly credible** authority that RIM will be buying MusicGremlin… so look for a Blackberry-WiFi enabled music player mashup coming soon.

We know that at least some next-gen BlackBerrys will have Wi-Fi. How cool would it be if MusicGremlin was integrated into said BlackBerrys and you could just easily download MP3s without first having to go through your PC?
