To complement what you say, RIM should release a nice new BB on the Verizon network right before the iPhone. One differentiator of this device would be the superior Verizon network, along with 3G to boot.

Of course, rumors have an 8800 type device being released around this time frame on VZW, which will indeed help. However, right now these rumors don't have this device having a camera, which is a shame. Again, though, this will undoubtedly help RIM to compete.

Hey Robb, I don't know if you're an active user on pinstack, but discussion of the 88xx series has been VERY heated as of late with the 8800 finally being released. Now that it's official that the 8800 has no built-in wifi (originally thought to just be disabled by cingular) and the 8820 to come with wifi (but no camera) that chances are RIM is talking a big game, but not following with action.

If you're trying to take a bigger bite out of the consumer market, why is your current release and next release planned to be camera less? I can't say I have a degree in engineering, but is it THAT difficult to attach a camera to a smartphone? Lets see a 8820C release! (wifi/camera)
