How About A Hulu Client For The BlackBerry?

Hulu for BlackBerryIf there is a developer out there that wants to create a BlackBerry application that would quickly become one of the most downloaded BlackBerry applications of all time, create a BlackBerry client for Hulu.

I am telling you…  It would be right up there with Facebook and MySpace for BlackBerry as far as number of downloads.

I don’t know how closely this information is being held but I do know they’re hoping for the next few months. This is coming from a close source who’s worked with HULU

Well me,

If your close source is correct, it probably isn’t a bad time to invest in extended BlackBerry battery manufacturers.

You are 100% correct, the app would take off like a rocket.
BB/TiVo is in the works as well.

I 100% support this idea… If only my 8100C supported streaming video… Bold here I come!

Hulu would be great for the Blackberry battery cottage industry. With both Slacker and Hulu, I’d have to recharge my blackberry just about every 2 hours.

I would need to make the jump to 3G then. Unfortunately, that’s not scheduled to happen till end of summer.

Sometime in 2nd quarter is the target for this. Mind you, thisisn’t to say it’ll definitely happen, it’s just something Hulu is working on

Keep in mind that if it’s not Hulu approved, it may not happen. Hulu has been asking (telling) others that pipe through their content that they cannot do so.

Allegedly skyfire is coming to the blackberry (it is already available as beta on wm and symbian). The skyfire browser has a flash codec in it or something and will play Hulu videos (I have personally seen it on an HTC WM phone, but it jumped and skipped like crap) Sooooooo . . . Hopefully since BB is a million times better than WM it’ll run a little better and on REV-O to boot because my carrier isnt getting any REV-A BBs anytime soon

I really hope this happens! I have a bb curve 8330 though and it doesn’t support many media formats :( Kinda sad because I just bought this phone and found out after the fact that it’s the 8900 that supports all of the media goodies *whimpers*

jeff I know approval would make it more likely
But look at twitter! If the apps weren’t approved and twitter actually cared then twitter apps would not exist (I love u twitterberry!)

Flash 10.1 should be out for blackberry next year, which means that we won’t be needing an app. An app would play smoother and getting Hulu sooner would be great, but I’m wiling to wait if I have to
