My favorite cloud based storage service, Dropbox, is giving up to 16 GB of storage away to users who refer Dropbox to their friends.
If you aren’t familiar with Dropbox, think of it as a FREE 2GB USB drive that exists within “the cloud”, or, up on the internet, and can be accessed from pretty much any computer, tablet, or, smartphone (including BlackBerry devices) that can connect to the internet.
Personally I think that Dropbox, in a lot of ways, is better than a USB Drive, because you don’t have to remember to carry it around with you and Dropbox always provides you with the most up to date copy of your files as it constantly remains synced regardless of where you use it.
A standard Dropbox account gives you 2 GB of free cloud based storage, but, you can increase it by 16 GB in 500 MB chunks simply by referring your friends to a free Dropbox account.
If you already have a Dropbox account refer a few friends to increase your amount of storage. If you don’t have a Dropbox account, sign up for one here, then refer a few of your friends to increase your amount of free storage.
